5.7 million people watched the game last Sunday, if a proportion of those viewers queried the sponsors, then the logo will have done what it is there for, it has to be big enough to be recognised.
I quite like the shirt but have asked family not to buy any more for me. I mean what do you do with more than three? I do have a white shirt with a fine red stripe, away shirt. You know the opposite of the “Liverpool “ kit shirt when we returned to the Premiership. I think we only played in it once but there can’t be many about so one day, it will be worth a fortune and I shall use it pay for my season ticket.
I love the two of them! Usually buy a kit near the end of the season when they are dirt cheap or enjoy buying random kits off classic football shirts.com. might put the home Jersey on my birthday list though! Between Saints, Ireland, Finn Harps and a host of random other jerseys must have close to 100
Black with seven diagonal sashes in different, wildly-conflicting colours and widths. After the abomination that Villa trotted out on the weekend, I feel that we need to stake a claim to having the most ridiculous shirt in the league.
Or it (the away shirt) having the smaller UA logo on the sash - like the home kit - rather than our badge?
I actually really like both of these, particularly the home kit which is in contrast to most on here. I haven’t particularly liked any of the Under Armour kits at all, other than the Keegan throw back, but that one I really didn’t like the V collar. A lot of fans hate when we don’t go with stripes, but we’ve had such awful striped kits recently I don’t see why we should always stick with that. It’s also interesting to mix it up once in a while, plus as others have said, there are loads of red and white striped teams. Good job saints, first time I’ve said that about our kits in a while! Obviously the sponsor logo is dreadful and too big (it’s like they get bigger every season for PL teams) and not 100% convinced on the shield round the badge but overall I’m a fan of it and it works. On the away kit, I’d really like it not to be a sash, purely because I don’t like having the same kit in three different colours like we’ve had this season.
I can hear the remarks now after a very poor away performance "Saints didn't put up a good enough fight. Their sash says it all really, they have a yellow streak that runs right through the team". So please no yellow sash FFS.
I like the third kit but the home kit is an abomination. It is much better when we stick to stripe although I agree with earlier remarks that this does not guarantee that the jersey will be appealing. The recent attempts have been dreadful with the "bra" version the worst of the lot. I think that it is best to keep it simple.
Problem is we don't seem to like to keep things simple. Given a choice between adulterating the stripes with weird patches of unnecessary colour, or just shrugging and doing something else, I'd prefer the latter. If we're going to do stripes, do the 2014-15 kit every year, don't slap shoulder pads or bras on them.
It wasn't until I mocked this up that I realized that I had effectively just designed every terrible, overly-baggy clothing item from the 1990s. I retract this suggestion. It's not the right sort of bad.
Home kit is actually growing on me. Not literally obviously as they are not available and it would be impossible. Best UA kit we’ve had. All the UA kits have just been meh apart from the RanK Xerox one. We’ll be distinctive next year that’s for sure.
The sponsors logo doesn’t bother me as for some reason I filter it out. Have ever downloaded a film that is in English, but due to where you obtained it from had burned in Chinese subtitles? I just filter them out after a few minutes as I can’t read them. If the film has burned in subtitle in readable to me text though it annoys the hell out of me though if you see what I mean.
I watch programmes with subtitles with no problem, but get confused if there is a mixture of English and foreign. I find myself looking for the subtitles even when the actor is speaking English. Mind you, I could do with subtitles when watching the new Perry Mason...I don’t speak New Joisey.
Yeah I’ve come to filter out the LD logo which is probably why I like the kits. Funnily enough, the logo would look fine if it didn’t have the Chinese and English writing underneath it, LD probably wouldn’t go for that though (if they exist).
