Kinda feels like the PL are that brown jacket jobsworth who will only do things when they want to, and steadfastly refuse to look like they're 'giving in'. When I think Richard Masters, I see Ricky Gervais in The Office. 15k signatures asking for a response, public comments from Steve Bruce, the papers and many senior journalists, private demands presumably from both buyers and seller, yet they want to look like the big ****ing cheese, thumbing their nose at everyone. "These things take time". I think Paul Smith has them right - there's no intense process, just a bunch of political bureaucrats wanting to look like they have the power. Either that or, as I said before, they're simply ****ting themselves at incurring either the wrath of other clubs, exposure from Qatar or a lawsuit from Saudi Arabia/Mike Ashley.
Ummmm..... Kinda. But it's still an awkward limbo between "yay we got billions, we're gonna sign all the superstars and win the champs league" to "ffs the Ashley era rolls on for another 20 years, cool, we're definitely relegated again next season then".
But if we're being prick tested with the big diamonds and riches and it all goes to **** and falls through and we're back to the unending days of Ashley... then I'd really rather have not heard about it in the first place.
my prediction is that if the deal goes through PIF won't get rid of Bruce.. thet will want to avoid the media going in on them for any more reasons that they already will
I said please tell me succinctly why you think it's so likely to go through, not just repeat what you said 2 hours ago.
