A draw was pretty good if you asked me before the season restarted. Been playing well post-lockdown...I was afraid we could have lost something, but looking good.
Well played Saints. Everton, for all heir perennial top-4 pretentions, and all the money spent, resulted to hoof ball as their tactic.
My Goodison watching (from that crap away section) includes an 8-0 and a 7-1. In fact I’ve always thought we should just give the players the day off and accept a 3-0 defeat. However today WE GOT A POINT AT GOODISON. World domination now follows
I still can't get my head round why Bednarek got a yellow card. For me it's either a red card or no foul. For me Mason bottled it by giving him a yellow; the fact VAR didn't upgrade to red suggests they thought it was no foul (but they don't have the power to overturn that part of the decision).
The game is slipping away. They seem more concerned about not losing face than getting the right decision. Today was embarrassing. Over weight incompetent refs being backed up by people jacking off in the var control room. Okay, that was directed at Mason.....but you get the point.
Cracking performance against a solid side. Abcelotti is a hell of a manager, Everton have spent a load more money than us, and we still battered them on the balance of play. If we can play like this every game, we could be pushing top half next season. Some of the switched balls and passing was an absolute joy. RH is a wizard to get the team playing like this
Exactly what I think happened, wasn't sure enough that it was a foul so covered himself by making it yellow. VAR sees it's no foul so doesn't upgrade it but can't overturn it so yellow and free kick stands. Awful refereeing.
