From what Donald said, the last 3m was based on clauses and there is no way Grigg could've met any of them yet! Although, with this regime, you never know do you?!!

Fair play that is a beautiful gaff.

I’ve just put a bid on on a former farm up near Consett, doesn’t look much like that but there’s a vision <laugh>

    Aye mate 3.2 acres.

Always been my plan, there’s a lot of work, needs mains water sorted and it’s a full estate being divided so needs work with the boundaries and access etc, it’s a long way from being a move in but if I can get it and take 2-3 years to get it there I’ll be happy.

I’ve long had an ideal world bit of land and a couple animals running about, so hopefully I can make it work.

It’s not work I can do myself mate, I’m alright with general house upkeep and such but there’s gonna be 6 months work of graft bringing in mains energy and sorting out land boundaries and a drive etc, the drive is gonna be a massive job in itself. That’s befor we start on the interior and the land (it’s got stables etc which are actually immaculate, bizarrely)

In reality I’ve bid a long way under ask, I’ll go up but I’ll still be approx 30k under or it’s a non-starter. I reckon it needs 100k on top.

I’m hoping that the market is flat and I get it for what I want, I can leave the offer sitting there I’m not in a hurry.

Heard he’s moving to the Blackbird Leys Estate. Got himself a nice little two bed council maisonette on the ninth floor of the Evenlode Tower for him and his missus. The money he makes on the sale of his house is going to be invested in elevator repair technologies and a new PA system at the SSOL.

Gotcha, up near the Anchor pub?

They used to do a Monday night disco, where you'd be faced with scrapping with big-handed farmers at the end of the night.

Nice neck of the woods, up on high...
