Has hit. Was hoping things would pick up. Paid until end of October so could be worse. Still a ****ter though. At least my club can pick me up.....oh hang on
Sad news Drum What I can't understand is that firms like John Lewis et al having ridden three months shutdown that as soon as things are reopening and the light at the end of the tunnel is in view they start laying people off. Hope you get fixed up soon.
A lot if shops have been suffering and just hanging on due to the rise of Internet sales (I admit I avoid shopping if possible)...lockdown has been the straw that broke the camel's back. A mate has a small business that sells LPs records etc, he has stopped having a shop, just has a warehouse and a website. Some, like the Virgin Airline are using Covid 19 to close down there operation in Gatwick and move to Manchester (cheaper) something their staff at Gatwick knew all along!
Where did you work? Are you anywhere near retirement? I packed in last year, dont miss it a bit. Good luck with finding something.
Got let go in March as a result of the advertising industry over here collapsing. Tough times to get a kick in the bollocks.
This gets more likes than the original post? You tight bastards. I've had a little drink. Things could be worse. Plenty time to get something lined up from November.
My advice would be to get drunk and panic, get it out of your system ... ... then you can take a step back and make a plan. I'm talking as a maniac who's been in more holes than a busy porn star.
They are a set of unsympathetic ****ers drum mate, the lot of them. Some people just have no empathy whatsoever, I ****ing hate people like that . Anyhow You are right though, things could be worse so just ignore them, get off your arse and find a job you lazy twat
