I would likely have been at Ayr tomorrow during normal times, we usually go a few times around this time of year. Had a quick look through the card, thought it was interesting that Michael Appleby sends two up, don't think he sends them up here that often? Both look to have good chances too. 2:50 Wrath Of Hector 7/2. Been running well on AW since the return. Weight could be a big factor in this, receiving as much as a stone from some rivals. 3:50 Strict 10/3. Was only beat a neck last week and runs off 3lbs lower tomorrow. doesn't look the most consistent but hopefully due to win one. Done singles and a double.
No info as such but I really fancy THE CRUISING LORD tomorrow. He was third at Doncaster last time in a race just as competitive as this and has since dropped a pound in the ratings. At 14/1 he is well worth an each way bet. I am not sure about the jockey, a lot of people rate him but I have seen him give as many poor rides as good. In the first race the yard think LOTHIAN has a big chance with firm ground being the excuse for a moderate run last time.
I quite like the look of several runners today and as Fabio has mentioned Mr Appleby has two at Ayr which I had spotted too. He had a very good afternoon over at Deauville today, 3/3 I think. Out of the two I fancy WRATH OF HECTOR, but will also do singles and a double. In the opener I like SHESADDABER 4/1 to get the hattrick as she has a high draw in stall 9 but it will be tough conseeding 6lb to Pavers Pride. Over at Windsor I will be following Oisin, I think in the 1.35 BELATED BREATH 8/1 is his best chance. Has had a recent pipe opener, is dropping down in grade and has a good record at Windsor. Two others I'm on are STANFORD 6/1 and SHERPA TRAIL 7/1. Also the Crisford team can bag themselves a double with ZAMAANI 5/4 and CASTING VOTE 6/4.
One I quite like over at Roscommon in the Oran chase is Henry de Bromhead‘s Email Rose. Trainer knows how to get one ready for chase debut and the Elliot-trained fav looks a bit of a dodgepot. Money around for Email Rose early doors too.
Lucky last at Kempton(20:45) modest e/w on Elusif at 33/1. Edit: Ran like a longshot usually does, just about stone last!
...And if by magic a penalty to secure a 1-2 victory and promotion, having lived in Oxford for 16 yrs I was quite drawn to this game, well done Wycombe
