Win Win for us, We win, we more or less send them down. Lose we can say we helped keep them up. EDIT: Can't see beyond a win though for us
You know how you feel right now...perhaps a touch of confidence, maybe a hint of swagger...hell, perhaps even a certain cockiness. That’s when Saints usually delivers a blow in your important little place
The Villa game will have just finished when we kick off I think if Villa win, Brighton will be a lot more nervy and that will suit us
Anyone think KWP should be rested/dropped? Would vallery have done any better against Martial/Rashford?
When we played City, did anyone think the pitch looked a little narrower? I mentioned dot to my lad. If it is, maybe this is not helping when trying to play teams that are more defensive than us.
I think this game more than the Manchester games will show us how far we've come. Maybe a little harsh to put too much weighting behind this game given the quick turnaround from the Man Utd game, but still...we often put in our best performances against the likes of the Manchester clubs, even in the seasons where we were deep in the relegation battle. But you need to find a way to maintain that energy and perfomance against the lower placed teams that you're 'supposed' to beat. Ralph needs to find the right balance in refreshing the team and not making too many changes. Difficult one this, can see us coming unstuck in this one.
They bullied us, twice. We have been susceptible to that for a while, but a lot less so since the restart.
The agony and ecstasy that being a Saints supporter brings. Never mind the hangovers and outbreaks of touretts.
For me, it is vital we maintain the momentum to take into the beginning of next season (plus the extra cash for moving up the table) so for me Ralph has to pick the strongest but fit team for every game until the end of the season. Three games, all winnable with two very winnable and the last one would be perfectly happy with a draw
