Central Midfield - Klich - Forshaw - Phillips - Shackleton Keep or Replace?

Klich and Phillips must be two of the first names down on the team sheet, Shackleton is young and improving but Forshaw? He played some excellent football at the start of the season but the mans always injured.

Does he have a realistic chance of displacing those ahead of him? If the squad wasn’t so thin, I’d say sell him but who’d want to give decent money for him? Keep as back up for me but I’ve a feeling he is never going to complete a full season.. Thoughts?.....

 

Keep them all. They are already well versed in Bielsaball and know each others game. We are fine in this area. Forshaw when fully fit is a starter. Hopefully he overcomes his hip injury and he can strengthen that area for us. Shackleton has shown that he is good enough to step in and although I'm not that big a fan, Robbie Gotts apparently is very good and able. Throw Dallas in the mix and we have more than enough quality and experience at our disposal.

 

Out of interest, who would you drop for a fully fit firing Forshaw?

 

I'd drop Bamford to the bench and push Roberts up top or just drop Roberts to the bench.

Midfield three of Phillips, Forshaw, Klich for me. Let Hernandez, Costa, Harrison fight it out for the wide positions.

Agree with Bucks, not sure about Forshaw, did have a few good games last season but few and far between.

 

I agree with Bucks too, Harrison Reed would be good cover for Phillips but there are cheaper options i'm sure. I would like Ben White too but i'm sure the scouts can find better value.
