So he's discounting this very likely move then. And from an impeccable source

Rumour: Next Christmas the iPod will be dead, finished, gone, kaput.

    It is still 2004...right?

West Brom are rumoured to be looking to loan Jack Clarke

Honestly, I think a Championship loan would be a better bet considering
a.) He's missed almost an entire season due to injury and Leeds being nobheads
b.) He's still a very streaky player, so needs to iron out some inconsistencies, and in the PL he'd likely get eaten alive at this point

He'd certainly fit in at QPR or Sheffield Wednesday if promised regular football, because if he went to a promotion-chasing team he might be dropped in favour of a more reliable performer - which is why Anthony Georgiou's loan to Ipswich was such a dud

So much easier in my day, Smith, Jones, Brown, Norman, Allen, Greaves, Baker, Henry, Dyson, Medwin, Blanchflower, Ditchburn, Nicholson, Harmer etc. etc. All good pronounceable names! Certainly a sign of the times (gone by)!

Mirror linking us with Sarr, I’d take him all day long especially if we ship a wide man or two out, guy is rapid and will only improve.

In a bid to sift the wheat from the chavs, I've taken the liberty of breaking down our transfer business this summer into the most reliable tiers

    Tier 1
Eric Dier new contract (Spurs' OS)
Japhet Tanganga new contract (Spurs' OS)
    Alfie Divine (Wigan's Twitter)

    Tier 2
    Pierre Emil Hojbjerg (Dan Kilpatrick)
    Kim Min-jae (Dan Kilpatrick/KBS)
    Timothy Castagne (Dan Kilpatrick)
    Callum Wilson (Dan Kilpatrick)
    David Brooks (Dan Kilpatrick)
    Zeki Celik (Matt Law)
    Max Aarons (Alasdair Gold)
    Arkadiusz Milik (Gianluca Di Marzio)

There's probably one or two that I've missed, but on the other hand this is filtering out the players linked with us every single summer (i.e Perisic, Zaniolo, Kessie, Kondogbia, Sanson, Muriqui, Coutinho, 99.9% of all Turkish footballers) pretty damn quick as well as some of the battier suggestions like Maitland-Niles

Lilywhite Rose were first on the scene for Devine. Think they had the news about 4-5 days in advance that we’d started talks/ negotiations and then had his medical.

Pretty sure Di Marzio also got it spot on about Tanganga by about 24-48 hours, said there’d be an announcement on his contract on the exact day we announced it.

In terms of sources, Lilywhite Rose (for youth only), Alasdair Gold, Dan Kilpatrick, Fabrizio Romanò and Gianluca Di Marzio are the only journalists/ sources to take their word for most of the time, or at the very least feel there’s some sort of credibility behind a rumour they speak of. Anyone else I don’t tend to feel has the same level of accuracy. Dutch media deserve some respect too, whenever they pick up on something Spurs related (Bergwijn/ Sanchez/ Chadli) they’re generally always spot on.

There's a few others I can mention, for example Le Parisien are usually spot-on with PSG stuff (for example they reported our interest in Lucas a good 24 hours before anyone else), while Kristof Terreur is usually good for anything Belgian-related - but neither have reported anything about us lately

A great list of players to have played for one league club.
Arguably the second greatest list, only behind (of course) the legendary :

Haggerty, Haggerty, Tompkins, Noble, Carrick, Robson,
    Crapper, Dewhurst, McIntyre, Treadmore, Davitt.

Blanchflower has 5 successive consonants. That's one off the record for English, being 'ghtsbr'. So wouldn't that be very difficult for a non English speaker? Ditchburn has 4.

All Brits then. Trying to think of players from outside the British isles playing in the Football League then. Trautmann comes to mind. (Steppes to Wembley fame!)

Weren't we the first club in modern times to sign foreign players with Ossie & Ricky in late 70's I think?
