Bloody hell, someone was on r/coys at 6:30 this morning demanding to know why Hojbjerg hasn't been confirmed yet

Probably because nobody wants to film an announcement video in their PJs?

    1. I assume twas easier for you to find the full list than it was for me :)

    2. Notable that four of those surnames apply to players who have played for the Spanners
(spookily all in sequence - then followed by Crapper)

I think Charlton had a South African goalie in the 50'. Something like uurtenbogart...I think, but I'm old now and the memories come and go!
Spurs did have a coloured footballer around the WW1 time. Was he from abroad somewhere?

    Charlton's South African keeper: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Uytenbogaardt
Pretty close on a tricky name.

The Spurs player you're referring to was Walter Tull. He was born in Folkestone.
His dad was from Barbados and his mum was from Kent.

No , I just remembered the Haggerty Haggerty Tompkins, it was one of my favourite TV shows back in the day and had the vhs of the series, somewhere there is a book that I picked up at a car boot
The episodes about the disastrous MCCtour of the Congo and the old school days are classics
    Thanks for the memory jog

    Doesn’t cut it for me

Not appropriate to say coloured, just say black or brown instead.

OK but smithy would have grown up in a time when it was not ok to say black, whether young people like it or not the issue should be to attack racists not people who are trying to be polite and maybe out of touch with modern useage.
