So the PL have confirmed what. Things we knew. Interesting. Cant understand what AS and her husband and RB where trying to do. Now they look stupid in the public eye. Something makes me think that it’s now dead. PIF have basically no energy for coming back and trying to fix things. The only good thing is Ashley is left to reel. He’s ****ed so many people over in the last 13 years that the biggest **** over is now on him. Well guess what. **** him! Fron a club perspective we are on our knees and about to take a hammering. Time to move on?
Ifs and buts now. It's not going to heal properly this one... It'll be back to normal, but it'll resurface through nufcs fall through the divisions. It is what it is
I think in the end we've been well and truelly had.. The Saudis took the piss and the premier league wasn't having it...
The PL has effectively insulted the Saudi's. They will go to another league, invest heavily and give a big two finger salute. They will also allow illegal streaming of PL games and tell the PL that they will not enforce action.
To be fair they are right in saying that arbitration is an appeal process and not a decision making tool
Here’s my view - if KSA and the PIF were really interested, they’d find a way, as per Welshies comments on Mansour. The court case of Staveley has shown her to be a chancer, something Ashley accused her of before but we dismissed him once already. I think this deal is ****ing sketchy and she’s taken a punt that hasn’t worked. I mean what serious bidder plays this **** out in public on a bogus platform like Twitter?? They’ve played us all for the desperate fools we are.
This is my point mate, if they wanted to buy the club there are truly ways to work around these issues. City knew exactly what they wanted, but they went about it in a way that got them owning the club asap. They could have found a way, but the reality of the situation is this - this was something Staveley wanted more than anyone else. The PIF came along for the ride on Staveley's recommendation, they simply haven't got the passion to see this through. I do still hold that if they bought Newcastle the club would have been one of the most powerful in English football in circa 10 years time, but the issue clearly got bogged down and now they walked. I'm gutted about it really, but as Chaos said - it is what it is. I don't blame any cartel 6, the prem, or even the PIF. Most of my disdain goes towards the rabid media, especially the Twitter users who blew it into the biggest Prem takeover in the past 10 years. It's time to move on, if you want to support Newcastle (which I simply cannot continue to do) big respect to you and god speed brother, but I want to enjoy some real ****ing football.
this thread should just be renamed and kept alive. @Albert's Chip Shop you cant just throw away a 1000+ pager.
