Just started rinsing them about that on the prem board. Embarrassing tbh, like they completely forgot about anything before the takeover. Pathetic imo
David Silva: Man City announce plans for statue at Etihad Stadium https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53806514
Well, fine player and all that - but what about all the other really good players they have/have had/might yet have? Are they going to put up statues to them all? Imo, such things should be reserved for people (usually managers) who stand head and shoulders above the rest, who transform a club in a way few others have done.
https://twitter.com/Realaldo474 John Aldridge @Realaldo474 · Aug 15 Well for all the stick I’ve had off Man City fans!thats another champions league semi final you missed out on one day you may get to a final?or Actually win the big one.On behalf of Lfc fans we are delighted you are still the best team in Manchester long may that continue
Potential City statues that I would rate above D Silva, obviously as an unbiased non supporter of the club, not in any particular order:- Bert Troutman Franny Lee Mike Summerbee Rodney Marsh Joe Corrigan Georgi Kinkladze
I hear now that Man U have commissioned a statue of Harry Maguire - in the hopes that it might be a bit faster than the real thing.
They’re already doing one for Kompany as well. wouldn’t surprise me if they put one up of Aguero when he leaves as well
Remember when city did a fan poll for who the stand should be named after and Bell won the poll but city decided it would be named after Joe Mercer instead? (Maybe to avoid Bell End jokes). Bell was so angry that his family wrote to the club and they eventually changed their minds. Fancy forcing the club to name a stand after you, club legend or not.
The Status of this man should be at the ETHIHAD...would start a protest. please log in to view this image
