I'm not that gutted by Hugill. Look at this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/championship/top-scorers His % of shots on target is very poor compared to the rest of the top 20 strikers in the championship. Yes, he got 13 goals and had a decent season, but that was in a very attack minded team. I'd be very annoyed to see us spend £5m on him given his age and record. Put in huge effort though, so wish him nothing but the best at Norwich if he ends up there.
I'm not gutted at all by missing out on Hugill. £5m is a daft price for a striker as average as he is, whereas Dykes has loads of potential and could prove to be a bargain at £2m.
He’s signed our own striker! Welcome Lyndon Dykes, looking forward to seeing him when we are allowed in!
Dykes confirmed and given no 9 shirt...think that means Hugill is not coming.. .....................and Eze is not going to Spurs or Wham (or Amos or Hugill would have been makeweights), well that is my guess (I suppose they still can)

A loss for us. We need to sort out that leaky defence with some new talent for the next couple of years. He was a good age, a captain and growing. We move on. But I hope we have identified our targets and are moving on them. I don’t think Dickie, at Oxford, will be achievable; so I look forward to finding out who will exactly be our ‘leader’ at the back.
Don't think we are quite out of the running for Hugill yet. Don't want to see Eze going, especially to WHam, but Hugill in part exchange might be easier for for them looking to cash in themselves, and us if we can get £15 m ++, + Hugill. Especially if he prefers staying with us rather than going off into the inbred depths of East Anglia. More money there maybe, but what about your life eh.
A quote from Sean Gallagher a journalist who covers qpr stories is saying the Goode enquiry was overblown by a number of fake ITK twitter account idiots, so it seems there was nothing in it & also Rob Dickie is the target
