No idea how much of Bale’s £600k per week wages they’ll pay, but let’s say they cover £300k of it each week (will probably be much less than that seeing as Kane is on about £100k?) then they’d be spending about £11m in wages for this season, with any bonuses or loan fees on top of that. That’s quite a bit, but for a player of his quality, IF he stays fit and IF he plays at his best then I think that could be a decent deal for Spurs.
Spurs taking a massive gamble to keep JM happy, and to push for top 4. If they don’t get top 4 this season Jose will get sacked and they will probably have to sell Kane, especially if the Covid lock out carries on into next year. This is also the same Spurs that furloughed staff.
I don't think we could compete with Bayern Munich anyway... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...revive-Chelsea-winger-Callum-Hudson-Odoi.html
As someone below said, he'll be gone before the end of the season I reckon. Also, apparently it was Levy pushing for this move, not Jose. Spurs to flop this season and Kane to go next summer. Replace an ageing Aguero at City?
What is wrong with furloughing staff? In my industry, I know multiple companies that had no hit to their workload/Income and took advantage of furlough. We live in a capitalist world, get use to it.
So Ralph not commenting on rumours of Ings leaving... not that unusual but scary nonetheless. Also, it was reported we were offering a new contract just before the international break... seems nothing has been signed.
