This is what I think also. A different manager with better ideas would do more with them players. I know some don’t like Eddie Howe but I think he would be ok for us.

However in a weird sort of way I think Sean dyche would get twice as much out of the players we have. It would be a step up in terms of club stature for him and he’s never getting a top six job.

Howe is just so unambitious... We're still the 9th most successful club in the Country and still a big enough draw to do better than these micky mouse mangers

Personally I think he wanted someone better than Bruce, but he knew Saudis were in at the time, so he got in a cheap pair of hands to get us over the line last season. I Think Ashley has backed him to around the 100 million mark which is reasonable to be fair. I believe we're a more attractive proposition to other managers now than we were when rafa jumped ship.

To be fair, I do agree with this. Bruce was an easy, cheap option, he's only on a relatively short deal (2 year, now 1?) presumably because change was coming. I don't think it's quite the poisonous cup it used to be - the money is being recycled, we've added 4 x £20m players in a year and a half, so I reckon a decent up and comer could well be keen on taking it on.

If we're under Ashley, however, it won't happen.

This is why Sean dyche who can probably get the best out of what we have got is the right choice in the interim. I like Sean dyche. I think he knows what he’s talking about.

Nah he did a good job and got the players invested in the area took them a trips so they knew what they represented and Ashley ****ed him over. He's the only manager I can think of bar Robson and keegan that left the club in a better state than when they took over...

I don't want him back, but he earned respect and he had it for this city.

    Hughton and Pardew.

    You're welcome.

He waged a propaganda war against the board and used the fans as ammunition, Rafa is far too emotional, he takes everything as a personal slight as he believes he's far better than he actually is.

Fan/club relations had never been as poor as when Rafa left Newcastle since Keegan walked.

Despite your incessant beeling after every single game, Newcastle have essentially maintained a standard that Rafa set with minimal effort.

I don't hate him, but he was about as bog standard as managers come, played 7 at the back and had them well drilled.

Pardew? No way he left us in a complete mess, but yeah hughton you can add to the list.

Maintained Im not sure given we've spent 100 million and sold nobody.

I think we're worse than the side rafa left.

We were a Premier League team with potential, we were in good form.

The board didn't hire a manager, if we had done that we could of survived and grown.

Pardew put up with tons of **** as our manager, sure he himself was classless, but even his most avid critics at the club like Barton were surprised how he was actually tactically decent.

5th and a European cup quarter final, 10th when he walked, 13th and relegation fodder when he took over.

Hughton and Pardew were good Newcastle managers. Accept reality.

Hughton yes pardew no he left us in a right mess and that goes to my original point

Pardew benefited from the bizarre sacking of Hughton..

You're just stubbornly wrong on this topic.

Usually you're one to go against the mindless chatter of the larger fanbase, I can't believe you're so inline on an opinion that was nationally laughed at during Pardew's time here.

It was a topic of huge embarrassment for Newcastle who constantly belittled a man who actually was doing a fine job under some of the ****test circumstances a manager has had to deal with at Newcastle United.

He kept us up with Joe Kinnear as chairman ffs.
