As I said a few posts above Opoku is a big lad with Div 1 experience at Accrington....so what is Ryan Lowe's thinking maybe he feels Kelland Watts need a bit of time to settle in....or is it because one of his defenders is the covid victim.

Spurs have been awarded the Leyton Orient tie.....and Walsall v Leyton O game has been postponed.

With the season starting a month or more late....how many postponed Covid matches before a serious problem develops with a back-log of games building up.

Just watched the Jerome Opoku video......he has already been here a couple of days training with the squad.....hence the whispers going around.

Likes playing central or left sided defender....big and strong and he reckons he's fast.....does that push Sawyer further down the pecking order....certainly bringing in some speed which has been missing.

I just watched Ryan Lowe's preview of the Shrewsbury game. Mostly the same old stuff: what can he say other than we respect the opposition but intend to win? Sounds as if Luke Jephcott won't be available.

What he did say though was that the style of play was his and the players were following it. He doesn't want to hear any criticisms of individual players: if there's a problem, it's his. I like that.

I haven't heard him make one excuse or blame anyone else for any of it even when we have flopped. Refreshing when somebody takes charge and responsibility at the same time isn't it. I remember Adams blaming just about everyone else but himself when he was here. There are a few occupations where people could take a leaf out of Lowe's book.

Happy viewing in the morning BC. I'm off to bed in a minute to get some beauty sleep. Not that I need it of course.

Argyle have a new goalkeeper coach....34 yrs old...Darren Bahcet ex Yeovil coach......he was on the bench Saturday.

Rhys Wilmot will be full time with the Academy but will be available to help Darren Bahcet if needed.

Explains why Rhys Wilmot wasn't with the team on Saturday. There was speculation he was the other individual infected by Leyton Orient.

Surprised a little about Darren Bahcet being taken on as goalkeeper coach.....that looked a job for Luke McCormick to slip into as second string keeper ...I thought he would have the time to do that.
Maybe he hasn't done any coaching badges as yet.

One of the reasons given for Rhys Wilmot stepping back is the travelling to away games. Certainly at home, the 2 keepers on the team sheet come out with the goalkeeping coach and start to warm up before the outfield players come out. I suppose if McCormick is to be on the team sheet he can't do that as well. Presumably the specialised training goes on all week too.

Argyle have said that Will Aimson is available for Saturdays away trip to Hull.....after his positive Covid-19 test made him ineligible last week for the Shrewsbury game.

It seems that Gary Sawyer will not be available until around the Christmas period....and that Luke McCormick is recovering and will see a specialist soon....there might be the option of a small op to "clear out" the area....could be available in a few weeks time.

This lad hasn't had any league experience at all in the UK....just one Cup game defeat for Forest....and has played a hand-full of games on loan in the Portuguese second division

But he is well liked and is a good mid-fielder for Forest in their U21 team....and has a bright future by their reckoning....lets hope Ryan Lowe can get the best out of him.....there will be I believe 8 games in October and games will be more concentrated seeing how the season started late.....resting players now and again might help regarding injuries mounting because of continually being picked.
