Yes, unfair to Zimmermann; but (a) where was Aarons (answer: tracking back and half the pitch away from the action), and (b) how come Krul was beaten by a not that powerful shot from outside the area, with nobody blocking his view, and the shot not that close to the left hand post.
The only reason that turn worked is because you can consistently drift a bus sideways through the gaps between our defenders. Bah!
Do I take it that we still get a parachute payment this season? If we do then we could end up with at least £100m in the kitty after transfers and a parachute payment.
Minus what we lose without fans I suspect the wages will be over our income so probably 50 mill in the kitty
Isn't it part of the definition of a "slicker" that their balance sheets only have a income column and no column for expenditure?
Someone on Twitter was suggesting that we are losing around £500,000 each home game week. I thought it would be more than that. So that is £11,500,000 if we canno have fans in the ground all season.
Excellent article about the tactical changes from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-1-4-1 formation. With this is also the changes Gibson brings: "I’ve spoken a lot about my wish for a left-footed centre-back in the side, and while at risk of sounding like a broken record, in laymen terms the benefits it provides are two-fold – body positioning and pass trajectory. Essentially, it’s harder for opposition players to intercept a pass when the trajectory of the ball is away from them, as opposed to towards them. Evidence of this was seen early on in the game when Gibson played a pass into Marco Stiepermann’s feet. Its trajectory meant the path of the ball is curving away from the Derby midfielder. If Ben Godfrey was in the same position, the pass would have probably been played out wide, not allowing the quick interchange of passing triangles through the midfield third." We've been lacking this for years. Often Godfrey has to play the ball out for a corner instead of passing it forward with his left foot. Gibson could make a huge difference to our play both defensively and as we move forward, as could Quintilla, if we play to his strengths as well. https://norwichcity.myfootballwrite...ctical-look-at-citys-home-defeat-by-the-rams/
https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/2020/october/revised-plan-for-2020-21-season-ticket-holder-rebates/ Complete turnaround by the club They are now going to hold onto your money till the end of the season. Dick Turpin or what?
According to the statement, you will be able to apply for a refund. I imagine though that the discussions it says were held with fans showed that many were quite happy to see their money put towards a 2021-22 season ticket while also receiving free iFollow match passes for eligible games this season.
Maybe, Those season ticket holders that are willing to carry over the money to 2021 / 22 should be guaranteed a season ticket whilst everyone else should go in to a open ballot with everyone else that wants a season ticket.
My gripe is based on the promise that a rebate would be offered on a game by game basis. As I pay approx £35 per game, that equates to £70 as 2 games have been missed so far. If I cancel my season ticket, which I have to do by Nov 30th,I will lose access to iFollow games, and also any guarantee of renewing my seat for next season. I am not demanding a full return of my payments, just a return for games missed,as promised by the club. There is no doubt in my mind that the accountants have made this turnaround, and are holding around £11M of season ticket holders money. I am sure their thinking is,there are thousands on the waiting list,so if you cancel this season, there are plenty in the wings willing to pick up the slack. So much for loyalty. I will be cancelling mine as late as I can,as will 4 of my mates. No doubt non season ticket holders will welcome this. I also doubt there will be any games this season open to spectators. With the pandemic getting worse it aint gonna happen. Stand by for the flack from the usual direction
Pukki has been accredited with two recent assists for Finland. Also, I think he has also assisted Idah against Huddersfield. Perhaps play him up front with Hugill in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 formation? The present formation isn’t working so any alternative is worth a punt.
I've been musing about this as well. Pukki could tuck in behind Hugill rather than having two up front. Pukki has played there before with Rhodes or when additional strikers come on late in games. It's certainly a possibility.
