Players have known for years that if you raise your hands to a player's face it's a sending off. Got no sympathy for Martial. Lamela is a cock however for making such a meal of it.

Yeah, fair enough. You're right though, if martial goes then Lamela has to go too. No idea what the ref/VAR were thinking. Lamela's elbow was more dangerous than Martial's poke, let alone the dive

What about Shaw? If Martial’s was a red, how on Earth was that only a yellow?

Annoyingly Pierre had a really good game for Spurs today.

He did, but to be fair, United’s midfield was non-existent.

Because I don't think he got anywhere near that standard in his last season with us.

He did in other seasons and I believe he had been high in winning back possession last season too.

He became a scapegoat at our place.

he is now in a team with some better quality around him and he can focus on his job. Winning the ball back and giving it to someone to play

True, we never really played him as a pure lone CDM. He looked good, that disciplined role really suits him as he isn't very creative, so can just run around and keep it simple.

We really had a lack of clear role definition at times in midfield. Hojbjerg can be a good ball-winner, and I think he demonstrated in his first season with the club that he can be more of an aggressive, box-to-box type as well. He just can't do both at the same time, and in a two-man midfield with JWP you really need the other person to be more Wanyama than Schneiderlin.

After yesterday's scorelines, Vestergaard's value must have quadrupled!

Disgusting isn't it. Pay for a Season Ticket, and then they have the audacity to make us pay extra for games to watch on TV.

    No ****ing thanks.
