Because of our potental in youthful CB's, I want to keep Klose and let him hold down the fort another year. It will give the youth another year of development. With Famewo, Omobamidele. and Tomkinson we have three good prospects.

I could be wrong. Though I've never been wrong about football matters before . To let Timm move SW would have to have a replacement lined up who is ready to go straight into the lineup if necessary. Andrew Omobamidele (AO) I don't think is ready yet even tho at 18, he's playing well for U23's. I just don't see it.

Much as I'd rather we develop talent we own, that sounds like smart business. Saliba has looked good in the little I've seen of him.

Were he to come, what are his chances of claiming that RCB position? Too much talent to sit on the bench and watch CZ or GH play. And I doubt if that is what Arsenal have in mind for him either.

 

I'd imagine that by the time he's in the door and up to speed, we'll probably have had a CB injury or two anyway...

You would hope we would invest some of the combined reported £40-45 m from Godfrey and Lewis, both Quintilla and Gibson are on loan and will only sign deals if we go up.
Not sure another loan signing or 30 year old looking for one last pay day before retirement will cut it.

I would rather a player that is mid 20s with a few seasons in him.

Bennett never made it through a season without injuries during his time which is one of the reasons we let him go .
