got to be really as they are supposedly staying in their domestic leagues therefore the CL dates would have to made available to this proposed abomination .
The worst part is after a team has won the league, possibly by 20 points, the top four then play off to decide who the champions are. If you win a league you are surely the best over the season!
Well potential replacement. Was making the points it’s not a European super league where we’d leave the prem that is often spoken about. In theory it’ll replace the CL as all the Big name CL teams will be in this new one so CL wouldn’t be the same
Well it’s a separate comp apparently run by fifa and not uefa so although not a replacement for it. Can’t see the CL being kept not in its current form as the top 20 odd teams in Europe would be taking part in this new comp.
Huge money will be involved and given it’s backed by fifa, it seems that this could happen in next couple of years. Ah well - at least we’ll become bigger as a result
Yes, largely. The haves pulling up the drawbridge to ensure they are always playing in the "Champions League".
Well no. This would necessitate those forming part of it to leave their domestic league pyramid. It’s the same old bollocks that gets dredged up every few years and has done for over 20 years. This is only being floated again as a kick back due to the United & Liverpool having their domestic power grab ****ed clean off a week ago. Beyond tedious tbh.
