Keegan would hoy the toys out the pram after Rafa's 10 to 1 defensive vs attacking training demos. No way could those two find a way to work together, polar opposite in approach, both incredibly stubborn, and both massively huffy when they don't get their own way. I reckon Keegan would walk first.
Barton hasn't badmouthed the club since he left like Owen, but he was hardly a legend here, so it wouldnt be a homecoming hero, he was always either injured, suspended or banged up when he was here. He's doing OK at Fleetwood (the kind of club Bruce should be at!), but I have my reservations about overly aggressive managers who scream and slam doors, didn't work with Souness did it? Barton needs to prove himself more, plus I'm sure Ashley would never have him back at the club after he slung him out as a player.
Barton is just a terrible idea to me. Absolute bell end, and will just land himself in hot water almost instantly. No doubt in my that would end with a sacking for bringing the game into disrepute or a high profile incident. I have watched Fleetwood a few times, not great to watch. Not Steve Bruce or Rafa ****e, but hardly swachbuckling put it that way. To be honest Michael Appleton's Lincoln played far better football in the game I saw.
I mean I quite like the idea of him rolling round on the sidelines scrapping with the likes of Pep. I'd just be doubtful he is very good. And I just can't like Joey, he's a grade A cock.
