Now the reason for Man Utd and Liverpool's "Big Picture" for football had come out

'Liverpool & Man Utd in 'European Premier League' talks'

    http://www.skysports.com/share/12109174

A massive money grab from the so called "big clubs" in Europe as well as the association who's supposedly has the games best interests at heart

Given that the league would not likely contain more than 20 teams, would all of our 'Big 6' get in? I would doubt it.Off the top of my head, the following teams would be sniffing around

England - Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal
Italy - Napoli, Roma, AC Milan, Inter, Juventus
    France - PSG, Monaco, Lyon
Spain - Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barca, Valencia, Sevilla
    Dutch - Ajax, PSV
    Portugal - Benfica, Sporting, Porto
    Germany - Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund
    Jawdee Nashun - Newcassle

According to Sky, only 5 Premier teams would probably get in, 3 from Spain and Italy, a couple each from France and Germany and the rest would be made up of "invited guest teams"

The team who misses out from the big 6 in England will make sure the s hit hits the fan

My thoughts exactly. Spurs would probably be favourite from that list.

If there's only 3 from Spain and Italy, there could be hell on there too. You would think the 2 Madrid's and Barca, would be in there, so that would mean that Sevilla, who've won the Europa League God knows how many times, would miss out.

Don't forget the mags would probably get in before Liverpool so they won't be happy either.

Yep, I reckon they should sod off as well... cos when (if) we get back to the top tier we have a better chance of winning the league

Would there be promotion and relegation to it?

I was about ask the same question.

Teams at the bottom would struggle to attract the best players

Have just read the article again. Its more of a replacement to the Champions League by the looks of it.

Spurs being included in this really ****s me off.

It's just the rich being greedy. It's boring.

If they go by Premier league history and longevity, I would have thought that Man City would be at risk. Its only just over 20 years since they were in our league now...if I were the chairman of any of the other clubs and Everton I would be pi55ed off to see them elevated to this....simply on the back of recent oil money.

There will be court cases all across Europe with teams thinking that it should be them. It made me laugh this morning as BBC news reported that FIFA is apparently keen on the idea. . . . . . No S**t Sherlock, imagine the lashings of ca$h that would be heading their way. As I've said above, if whoever they are leave there's no coming back. Clearly these clubs are not thinking about their fans, just their fattening wallets.

A few years ago I'd have been bothered. Can go if they want. Their fans will lose out.
