Sanderson's brother Hans Christian is a well known children's book writer by all accounts.

Just had a look on the club website match day feed and found:

"Tom Flanagan will miss the fixture at the Stadium of Light, with Jordan Willis also facing a fitness battle. The Northern Ireland international is set to see a specialist to assess an ankle injury sustained while on international duty. Denver Hume will be assessed, while Sunderland also without Arbenit Xhemajli and Morgan Feeney after the pair picked up long-term injuries."

So basically "All of the defenders are injured except the new lad and Bailey Wright"

That's a scary amount of injuries in the same are of the pitch mind

Slightly hypocritical of you that mind as you said

"If we can’t beat a team like the mighty Blackpool with 2-3 ‘first teamers’ out, then we don’t deserve to go up."

I stand by what I said. I also believe we should be beating teams like Crewe with ease too, however I don’t think we should be resting players for the sake of it like some of our fans are suggesting.

  8. I don't think we have a right to beat anyone with ease....we aren't world beaters and there are some decent players in this league who are looking to impress to try to get a move to the Championship with someone. having said that,I do feel we are playing with a degree of conviction which was missing last year.

Flanagan makes a miraculous return from being definitely out yesterday.

God knows how bad Sanderson's injury is if he can't make the bench ahead of a half fit Flanagan and make-shift center halfs starting

Thankfully Wright is there, otherwise it could be a disaster.
