Yeah, Wallace committed the foul for the second, but Dickie had allowed a high ball to bounce and then got muscled off it, leaving Wallace to make the challenge.
While last night was absolutely dreadful, I really hope even if Birmingham is similar which there’s a decent chance of given how they play, Warburton is given more time. It’s largely a new team again with all of last year’s goals removed. If at the end of the season it’s time to call it a day then fine, go and get Ainsworth.
Are personal attacks like this contrary to the rules of the board? I think that’s an appalling post, personally.
While we disagree on politics sometimes strongly (not me of course, I’m really kind to even the biggest ****s on all topics), I think we can all be fairly civil to each other on all things QPR. Who the **** backs QPR at home to Preston anyway?
I thought the Bournemouth performance was us turning the corner with this ‘new’ squad, so disappointed with such an inept performance. Something that niggles with me is the comment from MW that Banfield & Eustace did a lot of work for the Bournemouth game ... which inevitably leads to the question: who prepped for this one? Who is making the impact here? Because if it was MW then I’m even more concerned. Saturday: Ball needs to play and get Match sharp. Wallace needs to be replaced. Dykes back in (as with Beth’s comment, no reflection on Bonne - he needs service and be prepared to come and get the ball a bit if it’s not coming to him). Cameron?
On the plus side I didn't spend two hours and a crate load of cash getting to the game.... I'm having serious doubts about our manager's ability to encourage a performance from the team. After a bright start we were badly knocked back by the penalty and you would have expected MW to use his half time talk to reset and reenergise. Instead we fell into exactly the same pattern with predictable results. Not the first time we've discussed the lack of motivational ability from the manager. The one bright spot for me was Dickie who did (nearly) everything right - great prospect.
Strongly agree. Whatever they did / said at HT made no difference whatsoever. That's hard to fathom and endure.
This is happening quite regularly with me, either dementia is setting in or I'm losing my interest in the game. I KNOW THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY MEMORY, ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THE CAPS KEY?
Barbet is quite OK. We need a partnership to develope between the CBs. No I am fully behind Barbet and Dickie...we must stick with them
I really fancied a win and was going to have a bet at quite good odds. Then I saw the team and kept my money for another day.
I don't really get the criticism of Cameron, he missed a few longer passes but was solid in defence, promted attacks, and unlike a few others he didnt hide and was still getting forward at the end trying to pull a goal back. Ball was poor, invisible, as long as he was kept on, Bonne likewise all game, BOS, Carroll and Chair good until they scored, disappeared after they scored. Ref looked very cosy with Preston, gave them 2 dodgy soft pens, gave us nothing. Wallace should know better, Dickie quite good apart from the 2nd goal. Kakay ok but caught out a bit. Barbet ok and Dieng good except one time there seemed to be no communication with the defenders when a long ball came in which he didnt come for. Both Albert and Willock improved us when they came on, should have come on a lot earlier.
I only watched the first 25 minutes of yesterday’s stream, and then was strongly “told-off” by the family for being “anti-social”. I guess that I was lucky!
