No details, it’s just been posted on the City International Facebook page, I’ll post more details if I get them.
Sad sad news. John came back to live in the UK shortly after he was flooded out. I'll raise a glass to you tonight John, RIP.
A mutual friend of John and I phoned me with the sad news today. I'd connected with him a few times since his return to 'Ull and they was always happy and jokey meetings. R.I.P. John my friend and condolences to Robert.
Another good un. I do remember his 'live' reporting on CI re the flooding, close to New Orleans. Then met him when he came back to Hull. I can't recall which hostelry, but was talking to this chatty stranger and realised from what he was saying realised who we was. Seemed another good un. RIP John.
First encountered him on the Hull City Mad forum back in 2010 with you Tuckin and had some good times on there. Arranged to meet up with him when we went to Hull later that year but he did not make it from Baton Rouge. A year or so later we planned to visit my aunt in New Orleans and meet up there but that fell through from our end. Would have loved to have met him. According to my records on the Febbos 'Old Geezers' Topic John would have been aged 66. RIP John.
