The sad thing, for me, is that they're not very good.

If they went up they'd be another Wycombe and come straight back down.

Sunderland are ten times the club, just run badly.

Unfortunately with the strike force we are currently using there isnt one. Give Kimpi a chance. At least put him on the bench. The others are all to similar.

It's the lack of attacking intent that worries me. I don't want to write us off as some do but we lack pace, ideas and never look like really going on the front foot.

And whilst not sounding too negative Patkinson's team choice today was poor and the bench inexplicable.

Disappointing result to say the least. Im not in the habit of slagging players or managers off but PP should have changed the starting lineup. This league is relentless with the games coming quick after each other.

Feels like that defeat at their place a couple of seasons back. 4-1 as well, I think.

    *cough*

Dunno why I thought it was 4-1 today

Table is still very tight so no real damage done today - just hugely frustrating to lose at home to Portsmouth. We have been very solid so far so it’s a shame to concede such sloppy goals. Hopefully we’ll bounce back against Rochdale. People are saying it was our first real test but I fancy Peterborough to finish higher than Pompey.

I've been saying this all season, the manager is, like his favourite players, one dimensional.

Just a bad day at the office imo, we can get away with one player maybe two having bad days but not the amount we hand today unfortunately.

Imho we lack pace, Hume and occasionally 09 seem the only players with pace at time. It was crying out for pace to give them problems...

Wyke is esso northhumbria (an oil tanker of old)... then of course Parky brings on Graham and Grigg... no change there then!

Its not as this is not obvious... Parky and most fans have been recognising this problem for months... butbyet Graham us brought in!!!!!

More and more defenders are resorting to the darker arts in their efforts to contain Denver Hume. I truly hope this is his last season in league 1.

They were. Never like playing them. Seem to have the measure of us. Pressed harder, passed better, simple as that.

we have had a lucky run now it's over with here the bad run starts, witless defending cost us today mid table now, roll on next August and new owners with a bit of luck.

Bit harsh. Witless midfield for the second.
