Imagine 3 strings in a row.

Now pick the one in the middle.

    Got it?

Then you are holding this England team.

I like the idea of having the Pope in goal.

His big tall hat makes it harder to lob him and the big stick with the hook on the end must be useful for covering the corners.

    And Calvert-Lewin makes 3-0. Simple.

Might actually watch the rest of the Scotland game then come back to this.

I'd be well annoyed if I were Irish. They've done absolutely sod all.

England have not had to get out of first gear.

Great watch- team defying their own history to edge it through to the finals, having almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Lot of our 'fans' enjoyed rubbishing Marshall, good to see him write his name in his country;s football history. Some young Scotiish larker welling up when interviewed about how much it meant to the team.

Shame our national team have lost that humility and connection with the punters.

    And Robbo is their captain.

That interview was with Ryan Christie.

He was 3 when they last made a tournament.

    Not surprised he's emotional.

Marshall a fair bit off his line for that last pen.

And he knew it, hence his delayed celebration.

Think Caledonia got the rub of the green there, doubt a full stadium of baying Serbs would have let the officials off the hook like that.

    Looks like it.

Would be good to see Snodgrass get a few mins next summer.

Looks like Cairney is surplus to requirements.

I want Scotland, Wales and Ireland to lose because they're Scotch, Welsh and Irish.

However, I respect the fact that those who represent them actually care about playing well and feel a deep affection for their nation. I think we all know why the players England use don't regard England in the same way, but we've had that discussion umpteen times and none of you want to listen. I'll leave it at that.
