I do find it funny how no losing manager gives a winning side any form of recognition at this level. I've noticed it's been said at the other 'big' sides like Ipswich and Sunderland too.
This is the issue with doing well at this time of year, Championship clubs will be hovering like vultures in January. Hopefully the likes of Greaves and KLP, both local lads, will look at our league position and think ‘nah’, somehow I don’t see either of those two doing a Tymon.
Love the team spirit in this team. Everyone celebrates together unlike last season when the likes of Grosicki couldn't be arse. And how much better are our corners? Honeymans all-round delivery is excellent.
Know what you mean but I thought Holloway gave us some credit after the Grimsby match, and that's the last person you'd expect it from.
Ipswich will be our biggest test yet - they're 2 points behind us and whoever wins is then top of the table at the end of play. They have a 100% record at home this season and have only conceded 1 goal at home all season (a penalty - and we don't get those!) They have a few injuries thankfully, but sounds like a few of them came back yesterday and a few more (including their top scorers) will be back on Tuesday night.
He didn't give anyone any credit yesterday - did anyone hear him on Humberside after McCann had been on? Threw anyone he could under the bus, including his scout who he claimed had told him the wrong formation that the opposition play, so they were set up all wrong!
True, he did spend more time slagging his own team off though. I was thinking more the League One lot - League Two at least have the excuse of being a division below.
It's a bit of an irony when you consider his normal behaviour, but the highest praise I remember from a manager after he'd lost to us, was from Colin when we beat TWS 2-0 at the Circle. In a message to disgruntled whites, he said, "I just want to tell our fans that we do have plans to make us better and we will get better. We won't get as good Hull City, but we will get better". The most beautiful words I've ever heard from an opposition manager, them. I had biggest **** eating grin ever
I always think of that one too. It did follow an absolutely superb performance a well, we should've won by a good 5 or so. Best thing about it? It's all on YouTube... On a side note from the vid, I always liked Corry Evans. Wish he could've stayed longer but was never really good enough for the PL.
I can't remember who, but someone on here bumped into Colin after the match and when he saw his black&amber shirt, Colin said "You were robbed".
Love it. Aluku was on fire. Great passing and movement. Packed KC for a championship match. We had so much to be optimistic about. Kids round here wore the shirt and talked about City. Going to take a lot of hard work but I’ll never lose hope of better days again. It’s what we do supporting City.
Hairs on my arms stood on end and a bit emotional too. How good did sir Steve have us playing? If that ****er ehab hadn’t have been a jealous little prick we’d still be in the PL now with brucey in charge.
