I started reading this thinking I'd have something to look forward to but turns out it's one I've already seen.

BBC4 seems to have had the kiss of death recently. Getting a bit tired of Top of the Pops reruns and good old fuzzy haired Bob Ross painting another picture of virginia pine trees with snow capped mountains. :(

Remember it at the time. (Thought the bloke on left was from Monty Python).

I watched him when he was in decline of his career and obviously seen highlights since. I've not seen such extended highlights as this. Absolute genius.

The one about Bob Newart was good. Really funny bloke. Used to in some good shows years ago.

Remember the old man playing the Newhart lp a lot in the 70’s
The driving instructor and one on a submarine- the captains speech?
The robin williams doc was really sad
He had a form of dementia that gave him severe depression. He was so well loved by his contemporaries.

    Classic Bob Newhart.

Liked this from his TV series about a presenter in Vermont. Think it gave Steve Coogan the inkling of an idea.

The best of the current genre I reckon.

Still watch most of the new ones like DNA the other week, and the new Icelandic one.

They lack the very dry humour, quirkiness and memorable characters of the Bridge.

Raw fish and volcanic ash is not very appealing.

If you like. It's a buffet format over there.
Try the "Ernst, Dali & Magritte" restaurant.

There have been some good Scandi crime dramas on lately .
Mystery Road 2 ( set in North Western Australia admittedly) but was good and had Sophie Helin the lead character in The Bridge .
Just finished DNA a Danish one that was really good :emoticon-0148-yes:
Just gonna start The Valhalla Murders set in Iceland .
