I reckon he got sacked 2 weeks ago but is stumbling round in a daze babbling on about Xg. The bloke looks lost on his post match interviews.
We did have a number of court cases running too. One with a previous manager, and I don’t think the Alvarez situation is totally dead yet either (the doctor). Plenty in the background that could still cost extra £. I still think the Alvarez situation is what ****ed us up the most under SD’s reign.
Looks like Parkinson has survived yet another piss poor weekend. Proof indeed that Donald doesn’t give a **** about this club
Aye, I'm just hoping it's takeover related. The only other alternative is that Parkinson needs to get him off the books so he can spend a small amount in January and knows he can get him fit in the 23s ready to sell on. That's probably unlikely mind because no matter how fit he gets I doubt anyone would take his wages on.
He was apparently bombed out for bullying our youth players so we make him train and play with the youth players Makes perfect sense
Don't think their are any surprises re outgoings. The case against the doc is us suing him (or rather his insurer) so 'only' legal fees to pay
Are we reading too much into the McGeady situation? He could just be getting game time after his injury lay off to prove he his a fit and able signing
I think with Parkinson its just not a good time to sack him and we will just have to wait a bit longer. Behind the scenes they are finalising a takeover, apparently interviewing for DoF, planning an announcement and god knows what else. Its just a **** time to have to sack the manager and hold interviews, especially as the accountable people are about to change. Now if he keeps on losing and drawing they will have to act anyway. But I suspect they were/are just hoping we can get a few wins to keep within striking distance until the keys are handed over.
not so much the youths, i heard he was picking on the younger players in the first team squad. i was told Hume and O'Nien amongst others, and ON had asked for a move because of it.
No more than tier 2 I reckon cos the cases are coming down and no deaths and not many folk admitted to hospital so happy days
Hopefully it's 2. It's weird, if Accrington were in tier 1, they wouldn't be allowed 4k fans in, as wouldn't be able to socially distance enough. Their capacity is 5.1k.
Genuine question. Would anyone look forward to going to a home game with just 4k fans ? Will feel so weird i bet. I don’t think i want to go back until you could get 16k plus in.
Does anyone know what the bullying was about? I had heard that he went a bit Roy Keane and told some of the players they were crap and wouldn’t make it at a higher level. Or was it more sinister? Could be quite lucrative taking their dinner money off them too, so can’t rule that out. Surprising no one in the squad has stood up to him and put a stop to it in the first place, lack of leadership and bollocks from other senior players if that’s the case.
What were PP's alternatives? No one wanted to buy him when he was fit, never mind being left to rot on thousands a week at home. If he lets him back in the squad, the rest of the team will take the piss even more...
