I think he's just happy he's finally managed to hit the target with one of his long range efforts again.
It was a funny one, I thought he was running to celebrate with the manager, but decided against it. His dad's ashes are near the dugouts, my conspiracy theory is that his natural reaction was to head over there, but then realised that he'd be bored to death of he stepped within 20 yards of Parkinson and thought better of it.
As unlikely as it sounds it looks like he's celebrating with the manager, without making a big point of running over to him. If he hadn't been playing it'd have been an in your face Parky thing but he's clearly rated by him.
Picked up on this watching it. If he was celebrating with the manager he'd have gone over to him. I took it as a jibe as if to say look what happens when I'm allowed to have a long range crack...
why did he push our player out of the way after he had scored, the lad only wanted to congratulate him can't recognise who it is as well
any thoughts on why he pushed our player out of the way seemed to me like an axe to grind not pulling his weight ?
I don't think he even knew who it was mate, nothing malicious. It think it stems from him being dropped, the other week, despite being our best player.
Made no sense dropping him unless it was for fitness! As much as his previous game had been relatively poor, he played Dobson and Power!!!!!!
I remember the week after he buried his dads ashes at the SOL and he scored the screamer against Arsenal.....went over crying to the dugouts and kissed where he buried his dad.....I think everyone had a tear in their eyes in the stadium
