Sam Ricketts and his assistant have been sacked by Shrewsbury ....who have won only one game in the league this season and are 23rd in the division

    PS.....we couldn't beat them.

Tier 2 for us it seems, along with the rest of Devon.

Of interest to us: pubs only open to serve meals and only 2,000 permitted at Home Park.

So how do they intend to pick 2000 per match.....do the club just go down the list of when fans bought their season tickets by time and date.....or do they already know about groups of fans who always go together.....and then there are those who might still prefer to stay at home isolating......big problem to get it right.

So the club have announced that ...Club Argyle members will be first... followed by season ticket holder by purchasing time.

How many...Club Argyle...members are there.....and will they still be top of the queue for the next match and get in again before any season ticket holders....could get heated if they are.....when will season ticket holder No 5000 or the last one on the STH list get a chance.

There is only one fair system which would mean rotating the people to let everyone who has committed to the club to at least see one game this season. I know they said when they sold the ticket how it would be but then again will they now give the people a chance to redeem their money now the terms are to be set in stone. I wouldn't demand my money back but my guess is that a number would because they would be pissed off not being given a chance. I can't even remember when I bought my season ticket but don't think it was on day one. This was always going to cause trouble.

I'm sure the club will do its best - they don't make the regulations.

Nobody's been stopping large numbers of people breaking regulations around supposedly distanced bars on Friday and Saturday nights. Now sports clubs who are willing to operate safely are being penalised.

It's up to transport operators to maintain safety in their own operations, not the lawful businesses to which passengers may be travelling.

I'm not surprised Plymouth is in Tier 2: a fortnight ago we looked as if we were heading for Tier 3. It's in our own hands to be safe and move back toward Tier 1 but I'm not overly optimistic.

I'm sure residents of rural areas in Devon where infection rates are low won't be best pleased at being put in Tier 2 because of higher rates in Plymouth, Devon and Torbay (oddly particularly in Brixham). People will be sucked from higher tier areas to the boozers in low ones if we aren't careful. What's to stop that? I'm particularly concerned about Tier 1 Cornwall. Short stay emmetts spreading diseases from Plymouth certainly won't be popular with locals.

Just been looking at the chart in the Telegraph of Division One clubs.

Fleetwood, Blackpool, Accrington, Wigan, Rochdale, Sunderland, Hull. Doncaster, Lincoln, Burton, Bristol R, Gillingham will all be in tier 3 areas and therefore will still have no home fans in the ground....that is exactly half the league.

We will then have the problem of unfairness being cried out regarding some having home support to cheer on their teams....and others being deprived of that opportunity because of being in tier 3.

Argyle of course are on the wrong side of the Tamar from being in Tier 1...and therefore having 4,000 fans allowed in.

Seeing the fans allowed in have already paid for that privilege....where does that leave Argyle....probably having to pay for more staff to organize those 2000 fans into save sitting patterns......a case of winners becoming financial losers I expect.

There was a problem on day one of season ticket sales for Son who bought our's so he couldn't complete until around day 3 he told me today. So, the way it's been announced I would say I have no chance either unless they change what has been said and make it fairer for all to have a go. I understand there is a fair amount of resentment on social media about only some getting in and it is a bit abusive. Son tells me this as I don't read social media sites. I don't agree with the abuse but I can see how the resentment is caused and I also think this will impact on sales for next season. It would be better for Argyle if Boris and chums had not said any fans could go yet.

You're a lot nearer Brisbane than we are BC.....across the Pacific and the international date line it's approximately 7,369 miles for you......just ask for Musty when you get there.....he'll probably be out delivering his parcels.

"Struggling"...Sunderland who are spending their third season in lowly Division 1 and have only won six of their thirteen League games ...leaving them outside the "play offs" and 6pts behind leaders Hull....have sacked their manager Phil Parkinson... as a take-over of the club edges closer to completion.

Favourite to take over is Nigel Pearson....who is favoured by Juan Sartori and French millionaire Kyril Louis-Dreyfus who have made a deal with current owner Stewart Donald....which is thought to have been passed on to the EFL for approval.

The take-over regime also favour former Sunderland player Kevin Phillips as part of the new coaching staff.

So that is the second Div 1 manager sacked within a week....Shrewsbury sacked their manager before their Cup game Saturday and struggled to win 1-0 against non-league Oxford City.
