Oh I'm not happy at the performance but if it came in the next round (not being arrogant) be more worrying. I'd be more annoyed at that in the league with the way I think its going to play out this year. Its interesting and why Klopp is worried... this is the part of the season he expects his players under pressure after a very intense pre season... then they drive on the rest of season but he got none of that, all stop start and then match after match... pretty much the opposite of how he plans a campaign... and what he knows is bad for players. For all his thunder he's a science guy... he's worried about what this season will do to his players... He will get elevated even higher in my eyes if he sees us through this season...
Does it though? Ajax at home in the next game with Ajax/Atalanta playing each other in the last group game. First defeat at Anfield for over 2 years though
Not really. We are through with a draw against Ajax. Even if we get beat , a win against Midgetland gets us through.
There's no ****ing pressure. Worst case scenario is beating Diddyland on a neutral ground in a fortnight. It's just the abject performance that stank. They got two, but they could have had four. Don't remember one chance for us. Thought Williams won his headers, Jones was mediocre, Windy wasn't playing, and our starting front three was vomit/ But if we win on Saturday, all will be forgotten. Early Saturday game though.... good job nobody jinxed us on Sunday.
I think differently. Making assumptions like that is setting oneself up for a fall. The fewer chances you have left the more nervousness can creep in and things just don't work out the way you think they should. I still expect us to progress comfortably, but I'd rather we did it sooner than later. I'm annoyed, not worried.
I hate early Saturday kick offs... not same reason Klopp does... its because I'm too old to get pissed that early...
If it didn't come until the next round we'd be through by then. I respect Klopp immensely, I've said so many times on here - but I'm just fundamentally opposed to this tactic of making too many changes and hoping it works out. The attitude tonight was the polar opposite of the Leicester game and the result was fitting. Get the task done, then relax. This applies to the in-game tactics (start with your best and hook them when the game is under control) and the bigger picture. I don't care what anyone says, leaving things until the last minute puts psychological pressure on even the best.
FFS. Because I've been in complete isolation, I lost track of days; thought it was Tuesday today (well, yesterday now) and missed the bloody game
#calledit at the weekend; Leicester didn't battle with our midfield, they let us have the ball. Their tactics were counter attack.
Plus points - imho No new injuries Tsimikas we looked very complacent Someone was writing about where Klopp usually has the squad by this point and pointing out how much we have been stop start this season thought that was a great point - I would add though that we are basically running a month behind maybe even closer to two (season extended by a month ish overall) no idea if that makes sense I know what I am trying to say lol I agree with Saint that it was just annoying but atm no damage- however we have placed undue pressure on the squad which could have possibly been avoided anyway hoping for 3 points on Saturday Going to be tight this season need every win
