Like I said before, our current owners make up 75% of the new ‘ownership group’. But already it seems better decisions are being made than we’ve seen in the last 2 and a half years.
What’s Rodwell done? Seriously since he’s come we got rid of all the **** and Parkinson has gone, what everyone was clamming for the two things that everyone was complain about he was just Donald’s mouth
Rodwell is an employee only and will be directed by the owners - it is clear we have moved in a different direction already. Billionaires' might want a bigger manager but may not want to just throw money at a big name with a salary cap and no knowledge of lower league football We shall see
This is a very silly statement and very naive yourself, I’m afraid. Like people have said, it doesn’t matter how many billions your owner has, it’s nigh on impossible to attract big name managers in League One. We clearly failed with Poyet. Pompey have billionaire owners and employ Kenny Jackett. Managers with decent reputations won’t drop to this level. Lee Johnson has managed in the league above us for many years, so in that sense it is ambitious and a bit of a coup. I don’t really get how it can be concluded that our new owner is unambitious because of this.
Na mate it’s full of ****, he just been plucked out the air by Donald to have a massive laugh at the fans
We've replaced Richard Hill, Tony Coton and Phil Parkinson with three experienced but young / modern replacements, From dinosaurs to data.
Happy with Johnson and willing to give him a chance. Maybe this is why @Prehab26 said to stand by your beds, coz people are pissing them.
Can't say I am overly impressed with Johnson, mainly due to reading about his tendancy for streaks, I don't believe the sunderland crowd will be patient with him if we go on 7 game losing streaks, however the promise of actually seeing some attacking football is definately a bonus, and as such i believe with the players at our disposal that should definitely be enough for promotion. I firmly believe we have a squad good enough for promotion, but they have been held back by dour defensive tactics, and in turn affecting confidence
Yeah mate. Looking at Downie's Tweet, he'll be the Technical Director whose role will be Player Development and modern approach to things like fitness, sports Science and the like. No mention of transfer dealings and such like. Think we'll have a separate guy in charge of transfers and first team affairs.
