Like I said he wasn't my first choice..I wanted a strong character with experience of getting over the line. However, looking at what club want to achieve and implement..he fits into the strategy..managed in the Championship and at a good level... Style of play will be important..also he brings a freshness to the whole club..I'm right behind him..let's see where we go..
All our team needs to get promoted is to be more attacking and to get the kids involved, everything points to this guy naturally wanting to do exactly that. If we go up and he's struggling in the championship we can say thanks, bye. If he's doing well and we can rebuild with him at the helm then great. There's really no need to be upset about his appointment.
Of course he should be given a chance. We gave Parkinson a chance though but ultimitely the fans were right it was the wrong decision. Have the same feeling about this whatever spin some want to put on it. Honestly no one will be happier if Im proved wrong.
You have no idea how he will do. I bet when we appointed oneil, Moyes advocate you thought champion we've finally appointed the right man and look how that turned out No matter which manager we appoint there is absolutely no guarantee how they will do. Why not wait and see what happens
Instead of looking at just the manager/head coach, look at the whole picture. A definite plan for how the club is to be set up, people behind the scenes getting everything in place, people having a particular job instead off just 1 person trying to do everything. Isn't that something to look forward to instead of the **** show that's occurred for how many years?
There is when we have missed out appointing the best up and coming manager in the country for another plodder.
Even without an official announcement it's clear as day to me that the Oxford lads aren't calling the shots anymore. New dawn.
In his time at Birmingham, 18 players have gone on to play first team football, including Jude Bellingham, Demarai Gray (Leicester) and England capped goalkeeper, Jack Butland. He is not going to be in charge of recruitment, which a traditional Director of Football would be, that is going to be someone else. His record is a good one and he certainly has a clear picture of the job he has to do here.
