it's impossible quite frankly, there genuinely needs to be some sort of outcome better than we have but the alternative is taking away someones right to innocent until proven guilty which is absolutely unacceptable in any legal system.

I'm not advocating this, as I can see the many pitfalls, but something that penalised false claims would be one step in helping the genuine ones get more credibility, but as I say, I think it brings in too many other problems for it to be applied.
