Today's early Boxing Day kick-off will hopefully offer all the perfect hangover tonic but let's hope it's not a very sobering experience! Here's the team news - Vardy will be fit for this one despite the knock. No news on Soyuncu who is 50/50 with a groin injury. Brenda may just be desperate enough to play him. Wan-Bissaka and McTominay are likely to be missing again for United. I think we're all happy with Tuanzebe playing at rb for now. But I'd like Bailly to continue at CB. He's the kind of solid, n0-nonsense cb that Maguire needs next to him. Having said that, it'll probably be Lindelof so why waste my breath eh! What do people think? The battle of the counter-attacks and ending up both settling for a point? Or will we batter them? I for one can't wait to find out. I've actually been looking forward to this since finishing off my xmas pudding last night!
It'll be a good excuse to crack open a hair of the dog. Don't want to jinx owt but I'm going for a comfortable win, two nil or three one.
It does feel like that #nojinx No more slow starts? It's been good the last couple of games not going behind and having to come back. Don't want to jinx this either, but it would be good if we continue that form. It must build confidence in the team and the defence.
We'll go for a counterattacking game but lesta will also go for that. So it will turn out to be a cagey affair. A bit like the last game of the season. They will not want to lose and probably will take a point if things don't go their way. We simply have to win the 3 points if only to keep the momentum going
Those were my thoughts also. This could go two ways... a cagey affair OR someone gets an early goal and that all goes out the window.
I suspect we will concede first and we'll throw caution to the wind. If we have to concede then do it in the first half
Oh so it's a back 4 with Bailly playing the makeshift RB? The team is full of grafters, which isn't a bad thing against Leicester. Not sure about dropping Tuanzebe. I hope he's got this one right.
We now at last have a decent bench. There are people in there who should be able to turn things round if needed. But OGS has to be decisive and make any necessary sub sufficiently early.
Poor first half really. Fernandes is not having a great game. Rashford has livened up since he scored but there's no real support for him. James, Fred, Martial have been poor. Our passing has been particularly bad.
Where is your Christmas spirit, Treble? I don’t get why James started. That’s my main gripe with the selection.
