Saddest part for me was at half time, when my five year old lad asked me play with him...I was quite pleased to pin a QPR scarf across the table as a net, and use his new table tennis bats to play with him throughout the second half. I used to be pretty adamant that I'd at least watch the games as not able to go anymore...now not that fussed.
Given the way football is structured, MWs tenure is tenuous at best. The greater concern is whether a change will actually improve the play and goal scoring ability of this QPR team.
We could probably still be playing and not score....... We were in some ways utterly spoilt last season by the attacking players we had, unfortunately this is now the reality of where we really are and I can't see where our next points or goals are coming from........so, so sad.....
I just wonder if the players are feeling as we do. Maybe their is no voice in the changing room to challenge MW. I am always a glass half full person........but wondering whether a change is gonna come
You need your senior players to step up especially with an inexperienced team. It’s never easy to say for sure if the supposed leaders are doing much leading but the lack of noise suggests not.
Last six years, the personnel has changed mclaren, JFH, Holloway, Warburton, Holloway come and go but we always seem to be perpetually on a six game losing streak or ten games without winning and two points above the relegation zone.
Most annoying is that I predicted 1-2. How **** am I thinking that we would score a goal? Sack me ffs!
I just don't know anymore, was thinking dykes just wasn't getting service, he got it today but is so far off the pace it's scary...will a different manager get another tune out of him and others? All we do is take punts and hope
We play some good football playing out from the back but, generally, that quality disappears as we enter the final third. Add to that, Warburton's failure to coach the defence to play effectively as a unit and we are in deep trouble. We can be reasonably sure now that Dykes offers perspiration but little else. Unlike Hugill, Wells, Austin etc he is incapable of creating any chances for himself. None of our forwards were able to get on the end of some quite dangerous crosses today. Bonne's missed header on 60 minutes was, frankly, embarrassing. I liked the style of football that Warburton developed last season but, in the face of the personnel changes in the close season, he has not been able to take us any further forward, quite the opposite. I dislike changing managers but I'd settle for some scruffy wins right now and I have diminishing confidence that Warburton can achieve those wins.
Best to let it wash over you and try not to give a damn. Spent most of the 2nd half watching AV Palace. MW will be gone within the week. No manager can survive this.
