the older players we have signed recently include Wilkins, Rangel, Derry, Hill and Cameron. 4 out of 5 have added expereince and Cameron (in my opinion) still has to do this. I owuld be happy with Murray sugning till end of the season. He is one of those ackward players that always seems to win free kicks, maybe this is somehing our strikers can learn how to do. Maybe he could be that leader figure that we need. Hopefully we can get a midfielder, defender and winger that can cross the ball and I will be happy, plus get Smythe back and extend his contract.
Tjaaa, Warburton has changed our formation a few times this season, and at times we have gone very direct with Dieng and others going long at Dykes.Think Ball's goal came from one of those.
In general, we dont have too many players near to dykes when this happens. Usually the long Dieng ball (which hes good at) is for samuel to counter attack after defending a set piece.
Rumour is that BOS will go to Fenerbache in this window. So whilst that means we won’t have him for the rest of the season there is a flip side that we will at least get a fee. I bet it won’t be anything like the 5M Bruges we’re willing to part with, I am still predicting 500k and outrage from hoops fans.
A lot of chatter about Austin coming back on social media. I would so love to be proven wrong, but he's looked awful every time I've seen him play for WBA.
If Murray can do 15 minutes then I can’t see Austin doing more than ten unless he takes a break to do a couple of lines
I watched him come on as a sub the other day for 15 minutes, he looked absolutely knackered, to the point me and the lad had a laugh about his fitness. He does look like a player who's injuries have caused his movement to slow considerably aswell. If it were possible to merge Dykes and Bonne together to make one, then we would have a decent striker on our hands.
It would also be a shame for him to come back and taint our perception of him. He was so bloody good when he was with us.
