I agree, it will interesting to see if he receives any abuse for his stance, being the first player to publicly take this stance, I suspect that it is impossible that he is alone in this. At the moment it is the only part of a match that makes BCFC look like a team.
Where does it end what you can and can not say?!!!! "You can't say "mixed race" because it's now dual heritage". I imagine Lyle will be criticised for having some common sense!!
He probably will, and how sad is that ? Years of liberal thinkers, where there are no losers or winners in schools and competitive competitions and sports are banned, and even the terrorists in our jails are treated with the utmost reverence at our own expense, are to blame. How the hell did we allow British society, world famous for its creativity and humour in being able to laugh at anything and everything, including (very importantly) ourselves, to become this precious over simple words?
It's just not about common sense, it's also about democracy, it is his democratic right to believe and do what his conscience guides him to do within the law. IMHO football already had kick out racism and that is the banner they should have got behind but pushed the BLM cause so much so that the whole thing is now a distraction and then some pushed it too far by adding the black power salute. Footballers have acted like sheep over this issue, whilst the rugby authorities and it's players have adopted a more democratic and pragmatic view. Those who think that the point has been made and it's now achieving nothing are labelled racists by the liberal thinkers, I wonder how they will label Lyle Taylor?
Also shame on the likes of the idiots at Sky who still insist on using a BLM caption during the likes of Soccer Saturday. No other political party would be allowed to promote themselves on a sports channel without all the other parties having a meltdown !
Cant blame Aaron Banks, being old, Cambridge data, Russian bots, slogans on buses, wanting blue passports ..
The media in general and especially the BBC and Sky. As I have said in the past it will be very interesting and telling, to see the stance the England international kneelers take about playing in the corrupt world cup being played in Qatar next year, a country steeped in a tradition of slavery and human rights abuses.
Yep, as they come on to the pitch and stadiums built on the back of slavery and human rights abuses, praying to their individual gods of cheating to not get caught out in front the watching billions.
How long before 'Dual-Heritage' is considered a racist term...? I respect his stance, he is right, saying someone is black, white or mixed-race is not racist, it's factual and I'm glad he's putting it out there that it's OK to refer to someone like that, as long as it's not done in a dergoatory way it should be fine, surely?
The entire concept of BLM will never change the haters out there no matter how much longer the campaign continues. I refuse to watch the start of games now because of the kneeling, and if the league figures that this is a part of the process needed to stamp out racism I would tell them they are about 25 years too late.
