I will not listen to BBC Radio Newcastle because it's name does not represent the region it is meant to serve. I will listen to this though.
Temporary output and limited transmission time - not sure it will catch on. Hope a footy show gets on there though - RAWA, RR and Fishpaste crave the limelight so who knows. @Guinness Guzzler as a DJ?
It's only temporary, I suppose it's to gauge the amount of listeners they get but it's about time. Hopefully it's a success and becomes a permanent thing.
would look forward to hearing the chat and call ins before the match, could take off great especially the after-match phone in
I've stopped listening to Total Sport live - just listen on catch up now so I can just hear the SAFC bits by fast forwarding the dross.
mate im not that keen on the BBC either threating oaps with court unless they pay them they are thugs the gov should put a stop to it ,as far as Sunderland radio goes i hope it takes off and then the club and owner step in to sponsor it.
Potentially great start for them on Monday morning with announcement of confirmation of takeover and then exclusive interview with KLD. That'll send the numbers up!
It says - Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm - so it's still Radio N***e for our games - I can't listen to it anyway
I've said for years Radio Newcastle should have been called BBC Radio Northeast. I hope this Sunderland one catches on. Good for our area. I remember when "Sun City" gave it a go down church street 20 odd years ago. Now imo, best "fm" station going for a mix of music. 80s,90,00s etc. Metro used to be good, but they back heeled all the older stuff onto Hits Radio on DAB. Now it just sounds like all the other trying to be cool stations with the DJs calling everyone "Guy" and using loose Americanisms asking everyone how they're "doing lockdown three, right". Anyway Haway the Radio station
