Good first half. Need to maintain this level for the second half.

 

2-0 HT. Very respectable performance, so far, but we need to stay sharp and not drop deep.
Excellent start, got the goal and nearly got another, then we let the intensity drop a bit and they had a few moments.
The second goal gives us a small buffer, but it's not something we can rely on. Need an energetic, focused half.

 

I think we all want them to continue and go for the jugular there is absolutely no reason to sit back and defend.

 

I like the formation....plays to the strengths of all the players.

 

Well, that was better....
Generally tighter defensively although still a few holes in central midfield.
Rodders and Reggie have been excellent.
Two good goals, although that's a couple of bad back-to-back misses for Sonny.

And the ref has had a good half too.

Agree with Roy, we're beating a rubbish team. Lets see if we can string 2 good halves together for once, we won't have a better chance.

 

Souness slagging off Norwood for not going in aggressively for Kane's goal.
He's on a yellow. If he did a Souness tackle, then he'd probably get sent off, even if he got away with it last season.
Criticise the touch and the failure to win it back, but he has to restrict himself a bit there or they're down to 10 men.

 

Lundstram booked. Cynical one on Bergwijn, but Son wanted that to play on. Would've been in a dangerous position.

 

2nd time that's happened... Couldn't he have allowed played on and booked him then?

 

Son's heading reminds me of Eriksen's. Really doesn't want to do it and they're largely ****.

 

Kane should've played that early. Took far, far too long. Not an awful finish from his left, though.

 

There's a lot to admire with Ndombele but he needs to physically impose himself more. He's hardly a lightweight!
