i would have preferred him against ManU and Firm against Burnley .I do think if i was Minamino i would be a bit pissed off that since the Palace game , where he had probably his best game for us and certainly last time we clicked going forward , he has had zero mins and while i don't even rate him much that seems ridiculous .
just set up as we did against Palace and see if it works again - however Burnley wouldn't be my first choice of oppo tbf .
They're not but there's no point in playing a makeshift defence which equally damages the midfield. I think moving Fabinho in midfield is the better of two sh*t scenarios. Fabinho in midfield can help protect the defence but also gives us the platform to attack because the full backs will be more comfortable going forward as he is world class in covering the spaces
I think Klopp is weighing up the opposition before making his team selection. Phillips or VVW will play against sides that are better in the air imo. Hendo & Fabinho offer more on the ground.
I just think that we need to try and get back to a style and system that was so successful for the past 2 years. We don't have VVD but missing Fabinho in midfield is also huge. Get Matip back and then play a youngster who can keep it simple, then you get Fabinho as DM, Thiago and Hendo in their best positions.
I'm also hoping that Fabinho as DM will help to release Trent and Robbo to get further up. But that might not work because the CB's are slow. Ah well, any little bit helps!
i just want to see that old favourite pass and move reappear in our play or to be more precise quick pass & move .
I think now Thiago is fit him Hendo and Gini/Jones is decent option in midfield. Fab has been brilliant at the back and I know he offers more in the middle but he’s been the consistency back there and you need some of that in defence. Otherwise when Matip gets injured again you’re gonna have to move fab back again and disrupt things. Easier to keep him there and rotate the other spot.
