    Best team this time please.

    Mendy
    James Silva Zouma Chilwell
    Mount Gilmour
    Havertz
    Ziyech Werner CHO

Leicester will go at us all day, so our best counter attack is needed. Can't see them "parking the bus", so skill and flair in attack is more necessary than cross after cross to Giroud, and sideways and backwards passing by the back 4 and the midfield. Time Frank actually put out an aggressive team with lack of fear, attacking intent at the top of the agenda, and run till you drop as a given.
No more gutless, cowardly, safe, play for a draw ideas, go and win the bloody game .
Starting to think Frank doesn't have what's needed. Not for getting rid, but he has to start getting the team to perform, or minimally, show improvement, not just do the same thing over and over.

Playing like a Sunday kick in the park. Zero intensity, sideways passing and letting people run off them all the time. How can players at this level not even run around and track players.

We've got Mason Mount playing against Leicester on his own. Need Ross Barclay back to help him. We were lucky to get 0. Probably write this season off now, Ateletico will ruin us, it will be mid table mediocracy for us now no matter what, so do we keep faith with current coaching staff or not, it is Romans decision at the end of the day but if you watched tonight's game the difference in desire and willingness to get forward and take people on, instead of choosing the easy option was massive. What are those players told to do in training heaven only knows because it ain't working. The talent is there it needs to be let loose.

Frank Lampard. Great player club legend but dear oh dear, his managerial style is letting him down. He is like a compressed Mourinho without the nous, or charisma. He needs to get some more tips off uncle Harry, (if he get's a chance to use them).

Absolutely pathetic. Mount and Pulisic only 2 that looked up for it...and maybe James. Don't honestly know where we go from here. Haven't seen us this bad since Jose got the sack second time around. Majorly pissed off....would head to the pub...if there were any open !!!

I am pretty close to convinced Frank is not the Manager I thought he could be. This team of players has no guts, no drive and plays as if they have no conviction.
I hope I am wrong, but I see no signs at all of this getting better or turned around. We need to see this season out and make the calls for change then. Miracles can happen, and we need one.

Having a couple of glasses of wine to compensate Naas. Just looked at the cost of the teams in the Prem we have the third most expensive, there are 5 clubs above us with less than half of the cost, Leicester are 8th in this league in terms of value.

The one thing we lack, and I'm going out on a limb here is, a midfield boss, bare me out. We had a tough as nuts central midfielder in every successful team we had indeed all said teams have one, where is our current one........ Where is our Essien our Matic or countless other not so pleasing on the eye but water carriers for the talented that laid the foundation for the talent to shine. maybe the wine has kicked in but we need him really soon.

You are not alone, I have been on about someone to control and direct our midfield for a couple of years, Ballack/Essien type. Every great team has someone like Zinadane, Scholes, going back to Brooking, a Hoddle or Modric. All shapes and sizes but all with flair, vision and control. We have Jorghino, God help us. We're like a Porsche with a VW engine.

We look like a team of strangers and we’re half way through the season. Do they actually train together? It looks like a lot of them have met for the first time when we’re playing. Not sure what they do in training but it doesn’t look like a lot...still can’t work out what sort of team we want to be, never look like we have a game plan? Apart from corners we don’t even look like scoring.

I said at the time I didn’t think we needed Havertz but this was before I’d really seen him play....have we signed the wrong guy? He’s a poor mans Ozil and even he was rubbish.

Agree with the above though, nobody to control the midfield. All good teams have one, we haven’t.

Change of manager? Potentially...but a lot of the mistakes we make you coach at kids level so I’m unsure if that would even do anything. I mean the 2 goals last night might happen at under 12 level....at the same time it doesn’t look like most of em look bothered so it’s difficuult.

Been a while since ive posted. The thing that frustrates me the most is this side like to "dominate" possession. We have loads of possession that is totally meaningless at the back and we have for some reason stopped being direct and counter attacking even when the ooportunity is there. Watch the 2 cms and the wingers, they are all inside and never try to run past the last defender instead preferring to stand as james or chilwell dribble up, pass it to them, continue a bit further until they then pass backwards.

This team has turned in sarri mk2 but are worse on the ball and with even less creativity.

It's the backwards passing driving me nuts, especially Chilwell who stops like he's been shot as soon as a defender is in front of him. I know he can run past people but he won't even try. Mid field is lousy as well, no one wants to run AT defenders except Mount, preferring to walk at snails pace and pass to a line hugger up front who hoofs it towards a striker who is rarely anywhere near where the cross goes.So predictable, so utterly boring and so ineffective. A size 12 up the ring piece would be a good start for all of them, and a £1000 fine for every back pass might get them playing.

£1000 fine for each back pass, then Jorginho would still take home £75,000 per week.

    Good, make it £10,000 .

Seriously, I just can't get my head around why Jorginho ever plays. It should be obvious to one and all that our midfield, not our defence, not wingers, not strikers ,is our biggest problem, and has been for 3 years at least. Any of our strikers of the recent past would have been far more successful with a proper midfield general, yet we buy strikers, CDs, promote Right backs, buy wingers and completely ignore the most important player in the team, the midfield general.
For what it's worth, in my plebeian opinion, Declan Rice is well below what we need, does not bring the vision, flair or power we lack, and is yet another waste of time and money.
Luca Modric, on loan if we can get him for the rest of the season, would transform our team, and do for our attack what Silva has done for the defence. It isn't rocket science, it's proven class.
Closest we have is Gilmour, and despite his youth, he's far better than any other player we have, yet he sits on the bench watching Kovacic and Better Brakes labour to break into a trot, let alone assist or score.
Frank is out of his head not to use him to at least give Werner and Havertz a fighting chance of some decent ball.
Then again, I am starting to think Frank is showing he is out of his depth and even worse, out of ideas.
Frank has had the worst possible year with Chelsea, pressure of £200 mill of players, Covid, injuries, disruptions, lack of preparation, you name it ,he's had to wear it.
I hope RA holds off the firing squad until at least seasons end, that Frank and improves something, be it selections, results, style, anything, to suggest he needs another season. Because he does. He's got a couple of German kids, albeit very expensive ones, both unproven at the sharp end of football, all full of promise but neither with any proven track record, plus another load of CFC youngsters, a couple of ageing long termers, a hugely underperforming goalkeeper with an eye watering salary he inherited, and a notoriously football ignorant Board chaired by a man who believes money buys everything.
Unless RA has an epiphany, here we go again. My choice, Julian Nagellman.
Frank I believe is a dead man walking.
