Even the most ardent leavers told us that it may take up to half a century to see any benefits of leaving the EU. Let's pause these debates and come back in 50 years............

mmm, that reminds me of that BBC show Brexitcast which they should rename 'Bitchcast'. 3 remoaner BBC journalists having a weekly bitch about Brexit, with Laura 'Cring'sburg that weird little guy with the glasses called Chris? and Katya Adler all mocking the government and Brexit. A London elite giggle at anyone who voted to leave. Let's see how much they will laugh when the Beeb loses its funding?

If I was being cynical then I might say there’ll be enough trade chaos to wipe out small players and leave entire industries to be hoovered up by large businesses who may or may not be owned by Tory donors. That’s probably a bit too cynical though.

The main thing is we keep finding ways for the Tories to be driving a hard Brexit with an 80 seat majority and still paint Tories and Brexiteers as plucky anti-elite underdogs.

Looking at all the stuff Biden is having to stop or reverse really highlights what a horrible ****ing **** Trump is.

In other news, sky still blue, water still wet etc.

Yes I read an article on Donald discussing his term. There seemed to be a lot of bluster and rhetoric but little substance... especially after Covid came. Biden will be an elegant President but will have his work cut out. The country is divided and many just don't trust him. I also agree the sky is.... grey here.

Pretty much the best I can say about Trump is he didn't start any wars. Now that would have given Biden a headache. I sincerely hope we never see him in public office again. That said, I think Trumpism, particularly the drain-the-swamp stuff and distrust of career politicians and MSN will persist. The fuel was already spilt - Trump just put a match to it

Until Covid Trump had actually revitalised the US economy and would quite possibly have been re-elected. His handling of Covid really was the straw that broke the camel's back, all the other sh*t that came with it and the divisiveness was ramped up and will take some healing. Politics has become America's biggest problem...

Trump was an apologist for Putin, but had it in for China. He'll get credit for some of the peace deals Israel is signing in the Middle East

Yeah funnily they are just discussing this on BBC News. The BBC reporter was talking to some US adviser and being 'typically BBC', when the adviser shoot him down "that part is factually true and not denied by anyone other than you" oooooooh

America's outgoing Pinocchio-in-chief will rob its new president of the fresh start he craves

And Sky News calls itself impartial!

You are watching the sycophants as well.
“It’s a new beginning” “you can feel the relief” “almost close to tears” :emoticon-0119-puke:
“ here is President Bush... he was outspoken about Trump” .... funny the same Bush who started that war killing nearly 1m people over the years. The same Bush who Sky would knock and mock but because he spoke up about Trump he is okay? Hypocrites.
Right where is the Netflix button!

Feels like a natural reaction to a fascist no longer being one of the world’s most powerful people.

Excellent performance by Lady GaGa, singing the National Anthem.
    A much underated vocalist.
Incredibly nerve wracking to do that.
