I always answer a genuine post with a like answer - but you do wum most of the time, be honest.

I've wondered whether or not there's been some falling out somewhere, but that's just suspicion - there's no real evidence so I'll remain open-minded. The big factor against that idea is that Klopp generally won't stand for a disruptive influence so I think he'd have acted on it.
I suspect we may be over-thinking this. A slight drop in form is enough to lose you an edge in a highly competitive league and the injuries can be enough to precipitate that. Confidence is then lost and it's hard to get it back.
Unlike some of my fellow reds, I don't really see the point in analysing things to death - we're only observers and I'm sure that Klopp and his team are working on it.

It can just be small things - Fernandes has transformed you lot. Mostly the same players but they look a different team now. Who'd have predicted that?

I've also said elsewhere that I think Covid might have taken the edge off players. Of course this applies to everyone, not just us - but I think there are subtle signs everywhere.
Anyway, I'm sure we'll be back - so watch out. <ok>

Other than it being Utd and don't want to lose to them, I couldn't care less.

I think Klopp will be far more focussed on getting players back from injury and making sure we get top 4 and see what we can do in Europe

No issues with passing to each other, they've been doing it.

The two players that are most out of form (Firmino & Trent) are the most important two for creating chances. Trent with deliveries and Firmino leading the press.

Plus, and I know it's been said to death, missing Gomez and VVD means we have no pace at the back so we either drop back making pressing almost impossible or we get caught in behind.

If you watch us, we aren't countering quickly, we pass it about and take our time, this allows us to get some shape back, unfortunately it also allows the opposition to fo the same.

Teams are letting us have the ball, doubling up on Mane & Salah and packing the box making it almost impossible for Robbo & Trent to find our (short) attackers with endless amount of crosses.

I don't think players bar the two I've mentioned are that out of form, just need a bit of luck to get going again. Genuinely believe if Origi had scored we'd have won comfortably too.

Klopp will play a weakened side and we will get hammered, but only FA Cup so I am not bothered. Prefer a top 4 finish to the FA Cup, obviously CL would be nice but can't see us progressing far on our current form.

I want to knock them out and win it, **** the ‘prioritising’ nonsense, are we a big team or not?

I personally don’t think Salah and Mane get on, but I don’t think that’s a new thing either and it didn’t stop them destroying teams last year (and some this season don’t forget).

it’s just very tough when you get into a rut, Origi hitting the bar for example, the belief just goes when you can’t catch a break

Think we can convince Kuyt to come out of reitrement for us. He always knew how to score against ManU

I met Dirk Kuyt in Holland a few years back. He was doing something for Dutch TV and I just went up to him and told him I was a lifelong Liverpool supporter. He was fantastic, really nice. The TV guy took our photo and it absolutely made my day. Loved him for us, he was not the best player but he really gave it all for the club

He's definitely a player who milked ever last bit of his ability. I imagine he was a managers dream.

This is fine up to a point.

It is in fact adding 2 and 2 together and giving an answer you'd like, expecially if you throw in cheeky little press reports about salah and captaincy.

I have absolutely no problem with you saying certain players look rubbish.

Trent is half fit at best. Compared to Robertson he simply cannot get up and down the line, you can see it in his tracking back and how he is fading

The fact is we have changed our system to have 2 midfielders sit and one go forward and even then we rotate them mid game. Not one of them can go for 90. The front 3 look faded more than anything.

Oh and after drawing more than you've won in 10 games and the pressure is on there's not much room for smiles

A reasonable post from captain wum ;)

There may be a little something in this. If (big IF) everything you read is true.

Salah moaned when Trent captained the team earlier this season and their form has suffered since.

Bobby, as you say, has struggled for a while and Salah and Mane have never looked like best buddies so I would not read too much into that.

I’m not sure how many minutes the first 11 have played versus other clubs over the last 3 years but i just think that the players look knackered....The front 3 don’t get rotated and rarely have injuries so have had no rest at all. I also think that teams have worked out what we will do and have figured out how to defend our movement - it’s why Jota is so important to us.

So, little niggles amongst the players (this happens at all clubs)

some players heads turned/out of contract

Potentially Overplayed and no rest for key players (perhaps same for other teams)

Injuries to key players means that we are playing in a very different way

Throw is a few world class saves and hey presto, we have a crisis.

Reality is form is temporary and at some point, maybe a few games down the line, it will work it’s way out....I hope it’s today <whistle>

I'd be tempted to play Jones today ahead of Gini. Young local lad who'll be right up for this game, just the kind of attitude this squad needs right now.

Might as well have played the kids as that half arsed team are not going to do much.
