I mean what are the basic details, who is stopping the freight, UK customs in GB or NI? Or is this some EU agency?

Ni is affectively still in the EU. So anything coming from the mainland to Ni needs to have EU paperwork etc.

    Who's fault is it?

Well it's got to be UKgov's fault because they agreed to it.

    Don't ya fink?

I work for a warehousing company and much of our business is in fulfilling internet orders. I've had to change some code, create some new documents that have to go with packages. What I don't know is what happens once the packages leave the warehouse. Thought as you live in Ulster you might be able to answer my question. Word on the street like. If it's British people turning back M&S lorries then they need to cut that **** out, a bit of civil disobedience.

We are treated like an EU country for all intents and purposes. Marksy have had to close for a while in some EU countries as they are in the same boat as us. The market always finds a way through, seatcat have already shifted half their operations down south to Rosslare for the ramp up of the Cherbourg route. We will just deal with our European partners more and more which will then reinforce the break between Britain and Ireland.

    Excellent imho <cheers>

Funny that you mention that, a new route opened up between Rosslare and Dunkirk, think it's DFDS

    Just like to say...

Aldo said way back in 2016 in here that the Tory UKgov will sell their children for a tarrif free deal for the city of London.

I think now we can all agree that I was 100% correct.

    Jist saying like.

Only they didn't even get that as all the EU share trading business has moved out of London.

You REALLY couldn't make this one up. Department of Industry and Trade is advising British businesses to set up in mainland Europe to avoid the current little local difficulties being experienced at the ports. That rather begs the question as to why we left.
