Former Leeds, Man U and Scotland defender Gordon McQueen is to undergo treatment after being diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. The 59-year-old will have the treatment in Middlesbrough, close to his North Yorkshire home. Until recently he has been working for Boro as a scout. A statement released on behalf of McQueen said: âGordon McQueen has been diagnosed with cancer of the larynx and will undergo treatment at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.â He's an absolute legend, lets put rivalry to the side, and all show a united front. All the best for a successful operation Gordon
He hasn't looked well for a while and his voice has been croaky, so I assumed he'd had it and recovered. Let's hope he does.
All the best to the big man, he is a Leeds United legend and still one of my favourite players for the club, how we could do with a young Gordon McQueen right now. Don't care about where he went to play football after his Leeds career, there's more to life. Looking forward to seeing him back on Sky Sports giving his all and feeling healthy.
Believe me its marvellous what they can do today re treating cancer you just need to stay positive at all times and keep your fingers crossed.Best of luck Gordon
