Is anyone appreciating the favor that Crawley did us two week ago yet ? Be honest, what is best for the players, traveling down to Bournemouth for a 4th round away tie this weekend, or 4 more days rest before going to Newcastle on Tuesday ? Only one thing counts this season: 17th place or better in the Prem.
Our extended rest didn't help us against Brighton. I think the best things footballers can do is play football so I don't get the resting thing. They've had so few games thry might be forgetting how to play
Anyone else missing the championship when it was wall to wall matches? Seems we play once a month in the premiership
Nice try Poly Sorry but the players are probably over training and need matches to find some rythym. Most of us have been complaining for years about putting weakened sides out in the cups as we'd prefer to have gained confidence from winning...momentum is everything in football.
Pretty sure we had a game around xmas time...after that not sure. Seriously though, you can't be hankering after something that took us forever to leave behind ?
No. I just meant that every two or three days there was a game and so energised everyone. Now I miss it
Didn't help against Brighton, who where on a crap run!! Hope lessons been took on board and we put the final nail in pie man brucie
It's typical they're getting their better players back just in time to face Leeds. Saint-Maximin, Fraser and Gayle (the little **** always seems to score against us ) all made a return as subs tonight.
Yet some pundits will still claim we can’t keep up the pace and we’ll tire towards the end of the season
Promotion to the Premier League is like winning the lottery or getting promoted to a Director of a company: Championship football is being paid a relative low wage and working flat out playing 2 matches per week, training and trying to recover. Promotion means a massive pay rise and only working half as hard Being a pundit still means you can know fk all and be stupid talking bollox live on air
To be quite honest I am finding the premiership a bit of a letdown so far there’s not enough games and there’s not the cut and thrust as there is in the championship
