Another deja vu season. New loans will be underused and have no real impact.

More exciting to guess who our next long term injury will be.

Brentford - one of the best recruiters in English football and arguably an unrivalled judge of talent - are reportedly targeting El Mizouni. A player who can't even get into Paul Lambert's squad in the third division. I can almost see it all play out before us. We sell El Mizouni for £1 million, fast forward a couple of years and Brentford will be selling him to an Aston Villa or a Fulham for ten times the amount.

Parrot from Spurs is close to being signed.

Not a prolific scorer, but in all fairness, much higher standard than L1...

    Id be happy

Welcome young Parrot, and at 18 yrs, we will be pinning our scoring hopes on you.

If it will be Parrot & Thomas or Freddie up front as a pair, I would be happy.

Good luck, but expect any flair you have to be squeezed out!

Parrott is a decent signing if he stays fit. Not often I back loans but he won’t be keeping anyone out of the side who deserves a place.

Give the boy a game, he can't be worse than Jackson.

Mcgavin off to Ayr on loan. Strange one for me- think he’s a higher standard than that. Would like to have seen him as the deep lying midfielder allowing Dozzell to move further up the pitch where his passing might actually make a difference

I have friends who are spurs season ticket holders. Their assessment of Parrott: “doesn’t seem to have been able to cut it at millwall but he did have a lot of injuries”

Downes and Dozzell are massively overrated - Downes even more than Dozzell. McGavin has impressed me, but perhaps he just hasn’t had the life sucked out of him yet.

Also signed an 18 yr old RB, from wolves.
I remember he scored a cracker for Rochdale as a 15/16 yr old against Man Utd

Well that’s good news if we put Chambers out of his misery.

I wonder how much of the anger directed at Lambert would be there if we signed some decent players to keep.

Hes definitely a good prospect, but we don't need a prospect right now

Remind me of how many loanees we can field at a time.

Great to see we’re moving away from this short-termism,sticky plaster approach to squad building<doh>

I wouldn’t mind so much if these were proven players signed as a genuine attempt to get out of this League, but they’re really only going to help us continue treading water.

That 18 year old right back from Wolves is apparently a Norwich fan. He did well at Rochdale last season on loan (EDIT: and at the club before then!) I do remember that goal against Manchester United and he was touted as a rising star.

I think I’d rather have a Norwich fan at right back than Chambers!

Not ideal loaning other teams youngsters but in the circumstances of the new restrictions around wage caps I think these 2 are pretty good and I'm aware there's been alot of positive noise about them.
